COTEC Portugal had its first institutional presence at Hannover Messe, the largest industrial technology fair in Europe and one of the largest in the world, whose edition this year had as its theme the integrated, collaborative and connected industry.
Dedicated to the topic of Intelligent Mobility, COTEC’s participation aimed to give visibility to the capacity for national innovation and to identify opportunities for transnational collaboration.
Throughout the week, the COTEC stand was animated with several interventions by CEiiA, Siemens, ISQ, Neoadvance and Ocram, partners in this mission at Hannover. The session on Global Intelligent Mobility was presented by Thorsten Huelsmann, from Industrial Data Space.
COTEC also held a round table session on the topic “Intelligent Mobility Platforms, Carbon Emissions Currencies and coffee”, which was attended by the Secretary of State for Industry, Ana Teresa Lehmann, André Dias (CEIIA), Manuel Nunes (Siemens ), Pedro Pinto (Ecooltra) and Jorge Portugal, General Director of COTEC Portugal. The networking event, held at the end of the first day of the event, brought together around 200 people.
The 2018 edition of Hannover Messe had 5000 exhibitors and more than 200 thousand people who visited the event over the five days.
